SpoolIQ uses a three-priority cost cascade: first, the actual spool price from the last real print job; second, the weighted average of your current filament stock for that material; third, a configurable reference price per kg. On top of filament cost it adds electricity (wattage × kWh rate), labour (hourly rate), hardware extras priced by FIFO lot, and platform commissions (Etsy, Amazon Handmade, etc.). The result is a real unit cost and a suggested selling price with your target margin.
SpoolIQ uses QR code labels as the physical bridge between printers and the cloud. Each spool purchase gets a unique QR code. You load a spool into an AMS slot and scan the QR with your phone — no plugin, no OrcaSlicer integration, no LAN access required. The remaining weight updates automatically when a print job completes. You can set alert thresholds per filament type so the dashboard notifies you before you run out.
